F.A.Q.
Q: If I miss the registration deadline for BAYS Travel soccer, can I still register my child?
A: Due to the strict timelines CYSA must meet in accordance with BAYS & MYSA, unfortunately, the deadline is the deadline.
Q: If my child decides not to play after being registered, will I get a refund?
A: A refund will be issued less a $20 administration fee. In order to meet MYSA & BAYS insurance deadlines, CYSA need to make insurance payments based on initial registration data.
Q: How do I obtain the refund?
A: To obtain a refund, an email must be sent to the registrar (registrar@cantonyouthsoccer.com) and the registrar will remove the child from the roster and forward the amount refunded by the treasurer. A refund request must be made no later than 2 weeks after the season (Travel or In-Town) has started. The treasurer will process your request within 2 weeks.
Q: What is the Pre-K KICK-START program?
A: KICK-START is an introductory to soccer for 4 & 5 year olds. Canton Youth Soccer felt it was important to introduce the game to them and to their parents so when they get to Kindergarten, they are familiar with at least 1 aspect of soccer.
Q: How old must my child be for the pre-K, KICK-START program?
A: Our pre-K program is designed for children who will be age-eligible for Kindergarten by the following school year. Basically, that means any 5-year old who is not already in Kindergarten (and therefore not qualifying for Kindergarten soccer), and any 4-year old who will be turning five by the Kindergarten cut-off date of August 31st. While we are certain there are those children who are younger but may be ready for soccer, there are many more who just are not ready.
